พยาบาลในต่างประเทศ

หากจะมาทํางานที่อังกฤษ ส่วนใหญ่หมอและพยาบาลจะมาจากประเทศอาณานิคม คนอังกฤษรุ่นใหม่ไม่ทํางานก็มีเงินใช้ มีบ้านอยู่ มีรถขับ มีครอบครัว ที่นี่เลยมี Equal Opportunities Law และจะเน้นมากเรื่อง Human Rights Law เพราะหากไม่มีคนต่างชาติประเทศดําเนินไปไม่ได้ บางตึกใน รพ.แทบไม่มีพยาบาลอังกฤษเลย
หากเป็นพยาบาลใน Londonจะได้ค่า London Allowance ประมาณ £3,000 - £5,000นอกเหนือจากเงินเดือน วันหยุดพักร้อน 7-8 สัปดาห์ต่อปี (อันนี้รับเงินเดือนเต็ม) แล้วแต่ว่าทํางานมานานแค่ไหน ลาคลอดได้ 1 ปีแต่รัฐบาลจ่ายเงินเดือน 9เดือน(กฏใหม่)
เร็วๆนี้ ทางสภาการพยาบาลได้เพิ่มคะแนน IELTSจาก 6 เป็น 7 และต้องเป็น Academic IELTS เท่านั้น กฎนี้งี่เง่าเพราะพยาบาลจาก EUใหม่หลั่งใหลเข้ามาโดยไม่ต้องใช้คะแนนIELTS ในฐานะoverseas nurse ต้องเข้าคอร์ส Adaptation ประมาณ3-6 เดือน และต้องผ่านการประเมินถึงจะขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นพยาบาลวิชาชีพได้ ทํางานแล้วสามารถเรียนต่อได้ โดยรพ. จะจ่ายค่าเรียน แถมมี study day ให้โดยหักวันที่ต้องทํางานออก งานบนตึกค่อนข้างหนักเพราะที่นี่คนแก่เยอะช่วยเหลือตัวเองไม่ได้ แต่ละตึกจะมีผู้ช่วยพยาบาลซึ่งทาง รพ. จ้างมาดูแลเรื่อง personal hygieneโดยเฉพาะ งานหลักของพยาบาลอังกฤษคือเกี้ยวพาราสีกับหมอก่อนที่จะเริ่ม ward round อิอิ แจกยา ฉีดยา ประสานงานกับหน่วยงานอื่น ตรวจอุปกรณ์และcheck stock คุยกับญาติคนไข้ บ่นอุบอิบเวลาผู้ช่วยรายงานปัญหาของคนไข้ ส่วนพยาบาลไทยอย่างเราก็สังเกตสถานการณ์อยู่ห่างๆ ช่วยผู้ช่วยเช็ดตัวบ้างหากคนไข้มาก หากมีเวลาชอบอู้งานโดยคุยกับคนไข้ได้ความรู้และอะไรน่าสนใจเยอะแยะ นำมาจากกระทู้ใน internet วันที่ 10 /04 /08

งง...มาก วันนี้ขึ้นเวรมี ผู้ป่วยกะเหรี่ยง เอาลูกมา admit เราเป็นแค่ไปปฏิบัติงานหมุนเวียน ก็ดูเหตุการณ์อยู่ห่างๆ

nurse : เป็นอะไรมา , เป็นมากี่วัน อ้าวถามก็ตอบสิ (จะรู้เรื่องมั๊ยเนี่ย)

nurse : หลายวันน่ะกี่วัน (สีหน้าหงุดหงิด ถามไปก็พูดจา ตลก ล้อเลียน ขบขัน พอสื่อสารไม่เข้าใจก็ไปโมโหเขา)

nurse: แล้วฉีดวัคซีนครบรึเปล่า ? ลูกเราน่ะ ! ครบมั๊ย

nurse : ถามย้ำอีกครั้งเพราะฟังไม่เข้าใจ ครบมั๊ย ?

kareang : ชักโมโหเพราะตลอดเวลาที่โดนถาม และซักประวัติ กะเหรี่ยงคนนี้ก็พอจะเข้าใจ ตั้งแต่น้ำเสียงการถาม การดูถูก พูดจาไม่ดี และก็ตลกขบขำ ถามไปขำไป พอไม่รู้เรื่อง ก็โมโหเขาจริงๆ ว่าพูดไม่รู้เรื่อง.... แล้วกะเหรี่ยงคนนี้ก็ตอบกับพยาบาลไปว่า.... บอกว่า... คกก็คกสิถามอยู่ได้

History of Buddhism

Buddhism is a religion which is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, the son of a king born in Kapilavastu, Nepal, around 560 B.C. In order to achieve spiritual peace, Siddhartha renounced his worldly advantages and became known as Buddha, or "the enlightened one". He preached his religious views his entire life throughout South Asia.
The story of Siddhartha's path to enlightenment has a mythological quality. The son of a ruler, a prophecy at the time of his birth said that he would be a great king if he stayed at home, but would become a savior for mankind if he were to leave home. Therefore, his father kept him at home and surrounded him with all the worldly pleasures a boy could want, and kept all painful and ugly things out of his sight.
Siddhartha eventually married and fathered a son, but still had not left his father's palace. One day, he told his father that he wished to see the world. This excursion would change his life, for during this journey, he saw the "four passing sights". Even though his father had ordered the streets to be cleaned and decorated and all elderly or infirmed people hidden, some people did not listen. Siddhartha saw a decrepit old man, and learned for the first time that everyone someday becomes old. Next, he met a sick man, who taught him that people are liable to sickness and suffering. He saw a funeral procession which taught him that people die. Lastly, he saw a monk begging for food. He longed for the tranquility which he saw on the monk's face and decided this was the lifestyle for him. He left his father, wife, and son to wander and learn the path to salvation.
During his wanderings, Siddhartha rested under a fig tree (which would later be called the bodhi or bo tree, meaning a tree of wisdom) for seven days. While in meditation, he reached the highest degree of nirvana. During this time, he learned truths which he, Buddha, would impart to the world until his death at age 80.
Buddhism became a strong force in India before the Buddha's death. The diffusion of Buddhism, however, was limited until the Indian emperor Asoka became a convert and supported missionary activities. Soon, Buddhism became established in China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, where it is most practiced today.Hinduism is now the predominant Indian religion.

จาก เพื่อนต่างชาติ....

พอดีปุ่นได้รับอีเมลน่าสนใจเลยขอนำมาโพสไว้ใน Blog เนื้อหาได้จากเพื่อนต่างชาติลูกครึ่งสวีเดนพูดไทยชัดมากกว่าคนไทย และได้ส่งบทความนี้มาให้อ่านอีกทีนึงบางส่วนของบทความมีดังต่อไปนี้...
บทสัมภาษณ์ ชาวต่างชาติขื่อ "นายมาร์ติน วีลเลอร์" ชาวอังกฤษ ผู้มีปริญญาตรีเกียรตินิยมจากมหาวิทยาลัยลอนดอน แต่มาปักหลักเป็น "เกษตรกรไทย" มีลูก-มีเมียเป็นคนไทยอยู่ที่ขอนแก่นขณะนี้มาให้อ่านเพื่อได้คิดกัน
นิยามความรวยกับความจน........
มันเป็นเรื่องแปลกนะที่ประเทศไทยคนยากจนมีหนี้สินเยอะ ที่อังกฤษมีแต่คนรวยที่มีหนี้สิน คนจนไม่มีหนี้ เพราะเขาไม่ให้คนจนยืมเงิน เนื่องจากกลัวจะไม่มีปัญญาใช้คืน จึงไม่มีสิทธิ์มีหนี้สิน แต่คนรวยยืมเงินได้ คำว่ารวยกับคำว่าจน มันคืออะไรกันแน่ที่ขอนแก่นเขาว่าผมบ้าบ้าง ฝรั่งยากจนบ้าง ฝรั่งตกอับบ้าง ฝรั่งขี้นก ฝรั่งไม่มีเงิน แต่ผมบอกว่าไม่ใช่ ผมรวยนะ เขาถามว่ารวยได้ยังไง ผมบอกว่า
๑. ผมมีบ้าน ผมทำบ้านเล็กๆ เป็นกระท่อมน้อยๆ เอาหญ้ามามุงหลังคา ชาวบ้านเรียกว่าเถียงนา ไม่ใช่บ้านหรอก ผมบอกว่าใช่ มันบ้านของผม ไม่ใช่บ้านเจ้านาย ราคาหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันบาท อยู่ได้ครับ มันกันแดด-กันฝนได้ แค่นั้นผมก็รวยแล้ว
๒. มีที่ดินแค่ ๖ไร่เท่านั้นเอง ที่นั่นเขาบอกว่ากระจอก มีนิดเดียว แต่สำหรับฝรั่งมันเยอะมาก จริงๆ ผมคิดว่ามันเป็นเรื่องสำคัญเป็นพื้นฐานของชีวิต เราต้องมีที่อยู่อาศัยเป็นของเรา ไม่ใช่ของเจ้านาย เพราะว่าถ้ามันเป็นของเจ้านาย เราต้องไปหาเงินให้เขา ถ้าเราไม่มีเงินเขาก็ไล่เราออก เราไม่มีที่อยู่นะ เพราะฉะนั้น ต้องมีบ้านเป็นของตัวเองไว้ก่อน ซึ่งผมก็มีบ้าน คิดว่าลูกของผมจะต้องมีบ้านแน่ๆ ด้วย
เรื่องเกษตรผมทำไม่เก่ง แต่ที่ทำได้ง่าย คือปลูกต้นไม้ ไม้ประดู่ ไม้สะเดา ไม้ยาง ปลูกไว้ให้ลูกสร้างบ้าน ประเทศไทยอุดมสมบูรณ์ ต้นไม้โตเร็วมาก แค่ ๒๕-๓๐ ปี ตัดได้แล้ว ไม่เหมือนอังกฤษ ๒๐๐ ปีได้เท่านี้เอง เพราะอากาศเย็น เป็นเรื่องแปลกที่คนไทยจะบ่น โอ๊ย...มันร้อนๆ ผมว่ากลับเป็นเรื่องดี แสงแดดเยอะจะทำการเกษตรได้ตลอดเวลา ๑ ปี ทำได้ทุกวัน แต่คนไทยจะบ่นว่าร้อนๆ ไม่เอา..ไม่เอา..อยากเป็นคนผิวขาวดีกว่า แต่คนอังกฤษเขาถือคนผิวขาวเป็นคนจน เพราะว่าไม่มีปัญญาจะไปเมืองนอก ซึ่งกลับกันเลย แม้แต่พ่อของผมเขาก็ยังมีเครื่องอาบแดดเพื่อให้ผิวเป็นสีแทน ให้ดูเป็นแบบคนมีสตางค์ แต่คนไทยกลับอยากมีผิวขาว!
วิธีคิดไม่ธรรมดาของมาร์ติน วีลเลอร์.....
ผมมีลูก ๓ คน ชาย ๒ หญิง ๑ สิ่งสำคัญที่สุด ๒ เรื่องในชีวิตของเรา คือ
๑.ต้องมีบ้านเป็นของตัวเองให้ได้ จึงจะถือว่าชีวิตประสบความสำเร็จ
๒.ต้องมีงานทำทุกวัน ไม่ได้จำกัดว่าต้องเป็นงานอะไร แต่ขอให้มีงานทำทุกวัน ชีวิตจึงจะไม่สูญเปล่า วิธีเดียวที่รับประกันได้ว่าลูกมีงานทำ คือการมีที่ทำกินให้เขา และเราต้องช่วยให้เขาทำเป็น ผมคิดว่าคนชนบทจริงๆ ใครมีที่ดินทำกินแล้วจะไม่ตกงาน เว้นแต่คนขี้เกียจ ซึ่งบางคนมีที่ดินเยอะ แต่ไม่ยอมทำ ถ้าเราสั่งสอนให้ลูกรู้จักทำมาหากิน เขาก็ไม่ตกงาน ผมถือว่างานที่อิสระและมีประโยชน์มากที่สุดคืองานเกษตร ซึ่งช่วยให้เรากินอิ่มทุกวัน คนอังกฤษกินไม่อิ่มเยอะมากนะ ผมไม่อยากให้ลูกของผมอดอาหาร อยากให้ลูกกินอิ่มในลักษณะที่ส่งเสริมสุขภาพด้วย กินอาหารที่ไม่มีสารพิษ กินอาหารแบบเรียงง่ายก็ได้ แต่อิ่มทุกวัน เมื่อมีบ้าน มีงาน มีอาหาร ลูกของผมก็จะรวยที่สุด...
จุดอ่อน-จุดแข็งของคนไทย
ผมคิดว่าคนไทยส่วนมากยังไม่เข้าใจระบบทุนนิยม เห็นฝรั่งที่ไหนก็คิดว่ารวยหมด คิดว่าการพัฒนาในระบบทุนนิยมจะทำให้ทุกคนมีเงิน ไม่เข้าใจว่าประเทศที่พัฒนาระบบทุนนิยมนานแล้ว เช่น อังกฤษ สหรัฐ มีปัญหาเยอะมาก แต่คนไทยก็คิดว่าเมืองนอกดีกว่า อันนี้จุดอ่อนครับ คือคนไทยสนใจเมืองนอก ไม่ได้สนใจประเทศไทย ผมเป็นฝรั่ง คุณเลยนั่งฟังผม ถ้าผมเป็นชาวบ้าน คุณจะไม่สนใจผม อันนี้เป็นจุดอ่อนนะแต่จุดแข็งคือ ชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ แผ่นดินประเทศไทยอุดมสมบูรณ์มากๆ มีดินเยอะมาก น้ำเยอะมาก แสงแดดเยอะมาก ทำเกษตรอยู่รอดแน่ เป็นพลังแผ่นดิน ใครๆ ก็อยากได้ประเทศไทย ผมก็ได้ถึง ๖ ไร่
คนไทยโชคดีมากๆ ที่ได้ในหลวงเป็นผู้นำ พระองค์ท่านเป็นคนที่ทำงานหนักมากเพื่อช่วยให้คนคิดได้ช่วยให้คนอยู่ได้จะหากษัตริย์ในประเทศอื่นไม่ค่อยมีแบบนี้ ปัญหาคือคนไทยส่วนมากนับถือในหลวง แต่ไม่ยอมปฏิบัติตามคำสอนของในหลวง พระองค์ท่านบอกมา ๒๗ ปีถึงเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง แต่คนไทยก็ไม่รู้จักพอเพียง เอาอย่างเดียว ถึงยกมือไหว้ในหลวง แต่เวลาดำรงชีวิตไม่ได้ทำตามในหลวง ก็ในหลวงบอกไว้แล้วว่าไม่จำเป็นที่จะต้องเป็นเสือ ขอให้มีอยู่มีกินไว้ก่อน ถ้าทุกคนเริ่มคิดจริงๆ ถึงสิ่งที่ในหลวงพูด เราน่าจะช่วยให้ประเทศไทยอยู่ได้ เพราะความคิดของในหลวงเรื่องเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงต้องอาศัยพลังแผ่นดิน ทำได้เฉพาะประเทศไทยนะ เศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ที่อื่นทำไม่ได้หรอก เพราะเขาไม่มีที่ดิน ไม่มีทรัพยากรธรรมชาติเยอะเหมือนประเทศไทย พวกคุณโชคดีที่ได้แผ่นดินดีๆ ได้ผู้นำ (ในหลวง) ที่ดีด้วย
๓ เรื่องศาสนา ผมคิดว่า ศาสนาพุทธมีความสำคัญมากๆ สำหรับคนไทย ไม่ใช่แค่นับถือไหว้พระ แค่นั้นไม่พอ แต่อยู่ที่การปฏิบัติด้วยนะ มักน้อย สันโดษ พอเพียง ธรรมะคือธรรมชาติ เป็นเรื่องง่ายๆ พึ่งตนเองก็ได้ ปรัชญาของศาสนาพุทธทำได้นะ แต่คนไทยจำนวนน้อยที่เข้าใจ จริงๆ แล้วศาสนาพุทธเป็นศาสนาที่ออกแบบให้เหมาะสมสำหรับคนบ้านนอก ให้ใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับธรรมชาติโดยไม่ทำลาย ไม่เอาเปรียบ แต่ให้เราเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของธรรมขาติ

In the old days, Songkran's Day was regarded as Thailand new year day, when fell on 13, 14 and 15 April, and then changed from such a month to 1 January.
Legend had it that Songkran's Day was held to welcome the sun that gave both light and warmth to the earth. Later, Thais regard Songkran's Day as the ceremony for remembering their grandmothers, grandfathers and a festivity. When Songkran's Day comes, the people regardless of men, women, children and adults go to the temple in the morning, together with bringing foods, flowers, joss sticks and candles to offer Buddhist monks to devote merit to their dead grandmothers and grandfathers. Some people invite the monks to pray at their houses. Then, they have a bath image Buddha at their houses and at a temple, and they take scented water to pour on their people's hands to ask blessings from them to be happy and prosperous in their lives. Then, they happily splash water to one another. Also, they clean an altar of image Buddha, houses, living places and a cattle pen. For the aforesaid Songkran's Day, it is a general deed, but for each region there are a lot of details or odds and ends.
